TYPE: Panama. Chiriqui: epiphytic in cloud forest at the Fortuna dam site, alt. ca. 1000 m, Aug 1976, R.L. Dressler s.n., cultivated at SEL, 114-76-11, flowered in cult. 23 Dec 1976, C. Luer 1274 (holotype and detail of the holotype, SEL).
